Brockwitz Germany Charlotte Marigold Bowl

This Charlotte bowl was a lucky find. I was just having a quick five miniute look on eBay and stumbled upon it.

I was not searching the glass section. It it just came up on the left hand side of my screen with a few other items that I had previously looked at. What was strange was I had not looked at this item before.

It had five hours to run and I left a bid which was successful.

Glen & Steve Thistlewood helped me with researching the bowl, as their knowledge is incredible, and it soon came apparent that the Charlotte bowl is quite a rare piece of Brockwitz glass with only a couple of other reported pieces known.

It measures 9" and stands just 3" high.
