Dugan "Christmas Compote" Purple Compote
Description
This pattern is found in purple and marigold examples only. It has been reproduced although the colors and iridescence are no where close to the originals. This purple example shows the pattern so well. Inside, the center comes to life with rays reaching upwards to meet sprigs of holly leaves that line the border along the rim. On the outside, beautifully executed Poinsettias are found separated by sprigs of holly leaves once again.
This compote is simply stunning with its radium finish and massive presence. It is said there are none better than this particular example in purple. Through the years, it has graced the collections of Charlie & Eleanor Mochel, Ruth & John Phillips, Gary & Janet Heavin and now mine. With a beautiful compote like this, it's Christmas everyday.
