Dugan Double Stem Rose Olive Green Ruffled Bowl
Description
I’ve now had the privilege to own the only two known Olive Green bowls in this pattern.  Both bowls measure 8 1/2” wide and 3 3/4” tall from the dome base to the top edge.
The first bowl was found back in the late 90’s on a glass hunting trip I took over to Richmond, Va. at the West End Antique Mall.
Within 5 minutes of walking down the steps into the mall I noticed it sitting by itself on a small candle stand and after inspection, took it to the counter and put it on hold until I finished my browsing, then paid and went about my way.
That particular piece was shown in an early edition of the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass by Bill Edwards and myself in the late 1990's and was the only reported example in Olive Green at that time.
Now, after 16 years, I found and bought this second example on eBay.  This bowl has better iridescence than the first one, but still does not distract from the extremely rare status of either bowl.
