Dugan Farmyard Purple 3/1 Edge Bowl
Description
This stunning bowl is renown for its evenly applied dark royal blue and purple iridescence. It's these rich, opulent colors that provoke and instantly mesmerize the beholder into a state of overwhelming desire.
A few collectors have owned this outstanding example starting with John Muehlbauer, who first introduced it to this country after his visit where he found it in New Zealand.
It later sold at auction to Stacy & Des Wills who in turn sold it to Gary Heavin and then from him it came to me. The last photo shows it on the Wroda Auctions cover of the April 28, 2007 HOACGA Convention which featured the glass of John Muehlbauer and Jan Lambert of Seaside, Oregon.
This bowl had to be well revered and very much admired by John's peers. Jim Wroda's description in the catalog taunted the audience by saying, "Well the wait is over!! Dugan 10" electric purple Farmyard 3-1 edge bowl. The bowl speaks for itself. There is really nothing left to say except congratulations to the new owner!"
