Dugan Target Oxblood Vase
Description
We bought this striking vase at an Antique Fair in the UK back in the late 90s. I had seen quite a few Target vases over the years and never felt inclined to buy one. When I saw this one I had to have it. The colour is quite amazing going from gold to rich purple through various shades of blue to rich turquoise, aqua and green.
The internal part at the top looks like the Northern Lights. I have to admit I have never seen another one with so much colour. Maybe it's the fact that when we bought it, we were told it was amethyst but after years in our possession, I decided to have a good look one day and it turned out to be Oxblood, a purple that is a very deep dark red.
Its maximum height is 12 1/4", with a base diameter of 4", and a top opening of 4".
