Eda Sweden Svea Purple Cupped In Rosebowl
Description
This stunning Svea rosebowl is said to have come from a relative of one of the Eda factory workers. Items in this pattern seem to be veryhard to come by. As far as I am aware, this little cupped in bowl in Eda's rare purple is the smallest ever reported. It shows golds, blues and lilacs.
It measures just 2" tall, 3.25" wide at the top and 2.12" wide at the base. I am not currently aware of any others.
Although Eda only produced Carnival Glass for a short time, what a fantastic legacy they left behind. Their glass is always of the highest quality and their iridescence takes some beating. It is not for nothing that they have become a firm favourite with collectors of European Carnival glass.
