Fenton Captive Rose Emerald Green Plate
Description
It was at HOACGA's (Heart of America Carnival Glass Ass.) April 2000 annual convention auction where I saw this Fenton plate that totally captivated me. Tom Burns was selling the collection of Bruce Hill.
Now I can understand the name of Captive Rose. I look at it and the roses stick out from the rest of the plate and makes the pattern look three dimensional. This plate has the bluest iridescence that I have never seen before in this pattern on a green plate. It is Emerald Green at its best.
Thanks Bruce for putting it in your sale.
