Fenton Kittens Blue Banana Dish
Description
We bought this little Fenton blue Kittens banana bowl in Arkansas quite a few years ago. We had gone there to visit some Carnival glass friends on the way to Wichita, Kansas heading to the Air Capital convention. We had a good visit and our friends decided they would take us to a few shops near Little Rock.
The first shop we pulled into was a combination antique shop/flea market type of place. I used to really shop fast (that has changed a lot now) and while Debbie and our friends went one way, I headed off in another. I didn't go too far before I saw this little Kittens piece in a showcase with a bargain price tag marked FIRM. I had the clerk open the case so I could check it out and expected to find a crack or chip. Finding none, I gladly paid the asking price.
I think Debbie and our friends were shocked that I stumbled on to a good piece of Carnival glass. We never bought a Kittens piece before, but price combined with the nice iridescence pushed us over the edge.
