Fenton Peacock & Grape Blue Plate

I loved this plate from first look. I loved the colorful iridescence. It brought to mind all the colorful carnivals I went to as a child. Think about it. This is why the glass was so desired as carnival prizes. Yes, it was dirt cheap at that time, but it also so perfectly captured the whole carnival experience! It really caught the eye !

This plate reminds me of a carousel with all its colors whirling around. We purchased it at the Karen Engel auction earlier this year, June 2017. Actually Mike acted like he really wasn't interested in buying it during the auction so I wandered off to make a phone call and while I was gone he bought it for me!
