Fenton Peacock & Urn Purple Plate ~ Only One Known

Back in 1998, we purchased an outstanding blue Peacock & Urn plate by Fenton.

Checking the Edwards book at that time, stated that there was one purple plate in this pattern and I have always wondered who had it. Well.....at the Engel auction, June 17th., 2017, I found out. It was lot #221 and when it came up, Sherry said to me, "You should buy that."

Now, I don't need much encouragement to buy a piece of carnival glass, so I followed orders from my wife and bought the plate, and I'm so very glad that I did. It looks great next to the blue & marigold plates we already have and it's still the only one known.
