Fenton Stippled Rays Red Bowl with Scale Band Exterior

The bowl measures 6 inches across and almost 2 1/4 inches tall at the high spots. It sits on a pedestal foot and is primarily amber leaving the rest of the bowl a cherry red.

 

I generally do not buy from online broadcasted Carnival glass auctions unless the piece really hits me, and this piece did. I love red Carnival glass but it can really vary from silvery iridescence to what you see here in my opinion. I was taught a long time ago that its all about COLOR! (and condition of course).
