Boy that was along time ago. At first when I started collecting I was on my own. No one in my family locally had ever collected carnival. You pick up all that you see because it is carnival. We were raising our family at that time so couldn't buy the high priced glass but didn't see very much of that anyway. Saw an ad for a sale south of Cedar Rapids that had a bunch of carnival for sale where I bought my first water set. I had to bid against another couple in order to get a Singing Birds Water set, no damage.

I continued to run into this same couple at about every sale that had carnival glass advertised. I won a few, they won a few. They finally got me me to join my first club, ICGA. I then joined HOACGA. There was so much more information learned from both of these groups. The couple...Don and Barb Chamberlain.
