Description
"My mentor in my carnival glass hobby was primarily my Mom. She collected pretty glass of any kind, brilliant cut glass, depression glass & carnival glass. We lived in Kansas and she attended as many estate sales as she could.
I liked the carnival glass and so, after I was married, she gave me her small collection of about fifteen pieces. Then, to encourage me, she bought me carnival glass books, sent me articles out of the Antique Trader (one of which was of a Woody auction were he sold an aqua opal Acorn Burrs punch set of Marion Hartungs'), and a Woman's Day magazine from 1965 with a large article on carnival glass.
She had also saved a marigold kittens toothpick/vase that I had received mint candies in on my 7th birthday from a neighbor girl. So I am very grateful for the love of the glass that my Mother instilled in me."
