Millersburg Grape Leaves Marigold on Vaseline Whimsey Tri-Corner Bowl
Description
Dear Christina,
After contacting a well known author on the subject of Carnival Glass, I was directed to your site to share what I believe is the first reported Millersburg Grape Leaves bowl in Vaseline Glass with Marigold iridescence.
Measuring at 9" from corner to corner, this whimsied triangular bowl is, as far as I can tell, undocumented, at least by photo. I was told of one other example known but it has never come up for sale.
I have owned this gem for about twenty years, and it is in wonderful condition to boot. Included are photos for study. The ones showing a white background were taken in daylight.
The last two were achieved via a black light. In one case, the black light was held above the bowl to show the uranium glow on the edging, whereas the other photo was taken with the black light under the bowl itself, thus displaying to full advantage that mellow-yellow glow so adored.
I thought your followers would enjoy seeing an elusive Millersburg collector's heavenly dream become a reality!
