U.S. Glass Palm Beach Marigold Whimsey Bulbous Pinched-Top Vase

I purchased this from Pete & Paula Bingham in March of 2015. The best person to tell its story is Pete who says,
"I know at least two of these 7" marigold vases exist. Here's why...
This vase showed up on eBay around 1999, back when you could tell who the bidders were. We knew we were in trouble when Randy showed up as a rival bidder....the "Dreaded Pouchers", always a formiable opponent. We lost...another disappointment.
About three weeks later we got a phone call one night with a deep voice saying, "Hello, this is the IRS!". I said, "Hi Randy." That voice was tough to disguise. He said, "Hey, you know that vase your ran us up on a few weeks ago? Do you still want it?". He explained that the seller had two of them and they were absolute twins. He had bought them both.
Meeting Randy was one thing, a big gruff fellow, however those of us that got to know him learned what a special individual and friend he really was."
