Dugan Strawberry Amethyst Epergne
Description
I purchased this Dugan amethyst Strawberry epergne on an online auction in February 2017. It came from a couple who lived in Ohio who, believe it or not, were in their 90s selling off some of their collectables. I also won four other real nice pieces. The epergne was the sixth and last item marked rare. I believe all six were rare pieces.
I have to say they arrived looking better than the auction photos. I was very happy about that. I lucked out and won the epergne. The pieces ahead of it brought in quite a bit of money.
The lily stands 9 1/2 inches high. The bottom of the lily is just 5/8 inch wide while the top of the lily is 4 3/8 inches across the top. The bowl is 8 1/2 inches across and stands 3 inches tall.
This epergne is a real beauty. I know of three of these personally but I imagine there are some others out there somewhere.
