Eda Sweden Stjarna Blue & Marigold Bonbonnieres

My favourite items to collect are lidded items and if I can possibly get a pair that is the ultimate! The deep cut geometric pattern on these bonbonnieres picks up and highlights the colours to their utmost.

The interior is plain and has a ground lid edge.

The base features a star design and has a ground edge.

As is usually the case with Eda items, the quality of finish and the iridescence are spectacular. The Marigold and blue examples both show golds, pinks and turquoise.

Three of these came from Sweden and one was found at a Carnival Glass Society auction here in the UK in 2004.
